What's the order of UK transmission for the sharpe adventures as the video I have of the first adventure is just called 'sharpe' and not 'sharpe's rifles'.
Is rifles the first one?
I'd like the order though as imdb is pretty unhelpful in that respect...
I have wondered the same thing. I have searched for the chronological order of the series online and Sharpe's Rifles seems to be the first episode. Here is the official website for the tv series:

It seems the link above has the episodes listed horizontally in chronological order. Also, the director's (Tom Clegg) imdb page seems to list the same order as the link.
I checked imdb >Release date >more. It shows the UK release dates.
