Hoggin + Wellighton get back Simmerson

I thought two of the classic moments in Sharpe's Eagle is when Hoggin and Wellighton get an advantage over the vly, snobbish Col. Sir Henry Simmerson.

'You lost the King's colours, Sir Henry. Take my advice, and a pistol. And go behind that tent, and blow out what's left of your brains' - Maj. Lennox

'I have a cousin at Horseguards and I have friends at court' - Simmerson
'A man who loses the King's colours, also loses the King's friendship' - Wellighton

Your first comment is spoken by Hogan not Lennox, but a good quote non the less.

Berry: this...or this
Sharpe: How about this?
[Punches him]

"Hello? I just shot somebody, i did it on purpose!"

reply

"The fault was not mine, sir. Major Lennox must answer..."
"Major Lennox answered with his life, as you should have done if you had any sense of honour!"

Great scene.
