other hilarious movies like this

A friend of mine who speaks Cantonese a visit chine frequently introduced this movie to me saying it was her favorite. I loved it. I was wondering if other fans had a any good reccomendations.

I have seen a few other movies through her like Hidden Heroes and Dragon Loaded 2003. And many Stephen Chow movies. I loved Tricky Brains, Fight Back to School, From Beijing with Love, & Forbidden City Cop. God of the Cookery, Shoalin Soccer & Kung Fu Hustle were good but not great.

ones that were merely okay and a bit boring to me were
King of Beggars & Fight Back to School 2

and that's all I've seen of Chows, or any other Hong Kong comedy, any gems I'm missing?

Try "Flying Dagger" w/ Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung Kar-Fai, Jacky Cheung, Gloria Yip, Cheung Man, Jimmy Lin and possibly "Thing".

I second Flying Dagger.

Also Legend of the Liquid Sword with Aaron Kwok, Cheung Man, Gloria Yip, and Gordon Liu.

Similar but in the horror vein would be

Jiang Shi Xian Sheng 1 Mr Vampire 1 1985

and

Meng Gui Chai Guan Haunted Cop Shop

they're both hilarious as well.

Both Royal Tramp movies starring Stephen Chow, Ng Man Tat, Maggie Cheung, and Chingmy Yau. Like "Eagle Shooting Heroes" they are hilarious, over-the-top parodies of the existing HK costume action dramas.
