Good version of classic tale
Film versions of classic tales seldom live up to the book's promise so when I first sat down to see this version I wasn't too hopeful, but Bronson, in one of his last decent leading roles, does a great job playing off his archtypical tough guy persona to protray the cold-hearted mysterious sea captain while Reeve effectively plays the "fish out of water part" as the socialite land lubber forced to face up to the tough old sea captain if he is to survive. Having read the story I feel this version presents a faithful and effective telling of a classic tale and keep me on the edge of my seat!
