Eye torture

Finally watched this film, I liked it and wrote some of my thoughts before.

But with all the hype about the nails in penis I was caught completely off guard by Lothar's nightmare while he's at the dentist.
It reminded me of some of the most gruesome movie scenes involving eyes and eye torture, like putting togheter from Clocwork Orange to guinea's pig Devil's Experiment to Bunuel's Chien Andalou.
It topped them all for me, and I just prayed it Buttegereit to cut and almost closed my eyes.

I rate it as one of the most painful sequences ever made. Was anyone else very impressed?

I don't care if I'm a man, it terrified me much more than the nails, probably because it is not depicted as a self inflicted act but as a torture act.
What a film.

I thought the eye part was very tame and didn't make me flinch at all. I could see if a razor blade sliced the eye length-wise then it would of been a more gruesome scene. But hey, to each their own.

It didn't bother me because it looked too fake. I mean, it was a good special effect, but it still didn't manage to look all that real. So it wasn't all that disturbing, especially since I knew Buttgerit *wanted* me to be grossed out so badly. :)
