They were allowed to bring their maids/housekeepers?

If you notice in one scene when the Jewish couple are packing up their things to move, their maid/housekeeper shows going with them. She has blonde hair, and its right before the scene where the little psycho girl is throwing rocks at them leaving their apartment. I didn't realize that they were allowed to bring the "help" with them. Interesting, I wonder if some help chose to go with their employers?
