It's not propaganda, it's a dramatization. Obviously the story was altered to make it more of a feel good film but there's nothing wrong with that.

It's a dramatization based on the story of Oskar Schindler, a German industrialist who's credited with saving the lives of 1200 Jews during the Holocaust, by giving them work in his munitions factory. Not sure what's tripe about that. You want to see propaganda, watch Triumph of the Will, one of the most infamous propaganda films in history.
