VERY UNDERRATED MOVIE

This movie has more depth than 99% of movies out there. Matt Dillon and Danny Glover really dug deep and created unforgetable characterisations. It totally blew me way this film. Wow!

I agree, It has been awhile since i seen this film, it was very sad. Hope it sees a DVD Release soon.

I agree so much with you! I ask people all the time if they have seen this film and I get nothing but blank stares, *duh* lol. I guess it helps if you're a fan of Danny or Matt. Years back, I was on a Matt Dillon kick and saw every movie he ever made. That's how I came across this incredible film.

I love this movie, but I'll never watch it again. I cry way too much when I see it. Danny Glover & Matt Dillon worked very well together.

I absolutely agree with you, That's a very affecting movie, I had watch this movie once 12 years ago. I still remember it. I just wonder why people doesn't know it. I think it as good as "Forest gump" it should be able to win the Oscar.

MAYBE NOW THAT Matt was nominated for Crash his work will be more recogized. I hope so this movie needs to be on DVD. I taped it from a library tape. Hooking 2 vcrs together people still do that ever? Works if you got to have some movies like this. I'm I the only one who was sobbing at the end? Not crying sobbing.

But I think that's why it's underrated, because it's uncomfortable viewing. I really liked this film, but I'm not sure if I'd watch it again.

This is one of the finest films to come out of the 90's and for some unknown reason it's being largly passed over or ignored for a DVD release.

One of the most devistatingly heartbreaking films i've personally ever seen but yet an important one, not every homeless person you see is a nut or a drunk, they're people just like you and I who are trying to make the best of the situation and this film's brings this to our attention with stark clearity.

In my own personal circle i'm the ony person who has seen let alone heard of this film and I recommend it all the time yet no one can see it because it isn't avaialable anywhere except for a few VHS' floating around ebay, which i'm proud to say I just bought still wrapped in it's original shrinkwrap.

Don't you see, though, that was the point.

Life on the streets is a horrible way to live and it often ends in tragedy such as Matthew's murder. You can't truly understand the film's message without experiencing loss.

The subject matter is terrible, yes, but not the film and what it's attempting to say to us.

If you expect the unexpected doesn't the unexpected then become the expected?

Beautiful movie. Cried like a baby. I can't believe this is my first time watching this. All the garbage Hollywood promotes and gems like this hardly get the recognition it deserves. Sad.

You said this nearly 10 years ago, and you couldn't be more right.

This is a riveting and very realistic film. And the outstanding performances, of course, are the reason this film is so compelling and sad to watch (Dillon, in particular, is sublime).

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!
