Playing a game wearing jeans?

Did anybody notice that in Henry's ball game at the beginning, he wasn't fully geared up for the game? He wore jeans during the game and I can only guess that either he didn't have his proper baseball pants with him for a number of reasons or maybe he was late for the game and only put on his shirt and hat. I don't even know if he wore his baseball shoes for that game either.

Don't they usually have rules on what is the proper attire to wear while playing a baseball game? A dress code if you will?

He didn't expect to play at all. When the coach put him in his friend said, "They're putting Henry in?"

I noticed the same thing in the last scene where he catches the ball. He's wearing jeans but his team is wearing white baseball pants. That makes no sense at all. They probably shot those scenes on the same day and forgot to have him change.

I played little league back in the day and you would be surprised to see how often quirky things like this took place (wrong pants, hat, shoes, etc).

Kids didn't do that in 1993. Back when bad news bears was made that is true but by the 90's a little league team had to all wear same uniform.

We all had the same uniforms. Kids still forgot to bring portions of it from time to time. Luckily, we usually packed extras because we knew it would happen.
