This AWFUL sequel has faults in EVERY scene - check it out

See for yourself what a garbage it is - http://robocopmovies.blogspot.com/2010/12/robocop-3-faults-scene-by-sc ene.html

The worse thing about it is that theres no Robocop in this movie , just some stiff robot. I missed Robo

Any additions?

to be fair, there was one good satirical scene when the newswoman refuses to read further on air

The scene where girl is walking alone through the demolished buildings shouting for her parents makes no sense. In the previous scene she saw her parents get taken away in a bus so why would she be calling for them?!

Why was the police armory unguarded and seemingly some distance away from the nearest police station?!

Robo pushes a steel lift door aside like it's butter then chooses to shoot out the wooden door to the hotel room, both wasting bullets and giving the villain inside plenty of time to do anything, although he just chooses to stare at the door being shot out, politely waiting for robo to come in.

Because she's a traumatised child wondering where her parents are?

In R2 robo looses his hand and carries on just fine. He gets shot with a canon and flies back and has the exact same damage/dent to his chest as in R3, yet in R3 it causes a huge power drain that weakens him to the point that he cant walk and almost leads him to shutdown. And in R1 he looked like he went through a grinder at the ned with far more damage done to him, his chestplate ripped and he even got impaled, yet he still carried on perfectly.

Thanks. I found and added even more

That was a very entertaining read the OP posted. Here's another one, 3 men and a little girl lifted him easier in part 3 than 7 cops did in part 2.

Reboot, restart or re-imagining is another word for remake

lol your right every single scene was terrible.

Good catch. The inconsistency and lack of logic knows no limit in this movie

reply

You really would expect the writers and director to watch and study the first two movies to get a feel for what exactly IS robocop. Agreed, worst 3rd movie in a series ever.

reply

The comment about the guns is untrue, there is very little kick off weapons like Uzi 9mm and most automatic weapons and they certainly dont break or dislocate bones or whatever he said to that effect, it is far harder in fact to learn to shoot with pistols as opposed to rifles.

reply

Still doesnt change the fact the kickback is strong and if held incorrectly can beat up the bones or even dislocate a shoulder. Its amazing an old gramma knew the technique and was able to accurately hold it and aim

reply

We can assume the officer who gave her the weapon gave her some training in its use.

I'd like to point out that in the scene with Bebop and ROcksteady, the window shatters about half a second-a second before Robo hits it.

reply

I noticed things such as when he shot at the rehab troops feet. Bullets would have skipped and bounced into their legs. Even with all the errors it is still an enjoyable movie.

Even so, I still think RC2 is just as bad. They are both bad movies, but I'll take RC3. The cheese makes me laugh and they had some good jokes. I always remembered a scene from a movie where a corp exec is talking to his wife on the vid phone and she's going, o it's not that bad and he is jumping out the window. I recently rewatched this and was like damn that was from this movie! I like that Asian business is causing American corporate suicides. Reminds me of the Indian farmer suicides caused by Western GMO crop debts and the like in India (not directly related, but it puts me to mind of that.) The robotic ninja subplot has echoes of Frank Miller's own Ronin. Not to mention the scene where Johnson yells "You're jeopardizing your retirement benefits!" as the cops all hand in their badges is hilarious!

On the other hand I didn't remember anything from RC2 and it was ugly instead of funny. Robo's Adam West like reprogramming of his manners was about all I laughed at. Good stop motion too. Cain was boring, uncharismatic and mean with no humor. When Clearance killed some one it was funny as hell! Cain just listlessly snaps that girls neck? BORING!!! Bodicker (sp?) was badass (Heath who?) and was actually funny. The kid crime boss was really damnable. Seriously, how is that any better than the kid genius in RC3? Atleast she wasn't a reprehensible character for kids to mistakenly identify with. (Yet when he dies we're supposed to feel sorry for him! Bullsh*t!)

Contradicting Robo's powers doesn't matter much. It'd be nice if these movies were consistent within themselves let alone each other. Each is pretty much a stand alone. Look how easily he was dismembered in RC2. That doesn't contradict how durable he appears in RC1? Or even the rest of RC2?

RC2 = bad ideas produced well.

RC3 = good ideas (mostly) produced poorly.

I'll take the latter, just like in SM3 vs. SM4.

To be fair, the new Robocop movie they're making is going to be even worse than this.

reply

It's bad, however compared to other movies in this genre, a 3.7 is just too low. A 5.0 is a more suitable rating.

How can nobody like Robocop 3?
