What is your favorite song?

I don't know it well enough to know actual titles, but my favorities are:
Dear April child
The one she sings at the contest. How does that go? Can someone let me know some of the words.

i don't think i can choose just one song... but if i were, i would choose "The Curse" as the one i liked the most.

"We heard the tale since we were young,
Heard the songs that have been sung,
About an evil spell.

Someone beautiful is cursed
We feel sad through every verse
Til a kiss and all is well

The message that no one can teach
Is clearer to someone like me

There is no curse or evil spell
That's worse than one we give ourselves
There is no sorceror as cruel,
As the proud and angry fool.

And yet, we cry life isn't fair
Beneath our cries the truth is there

A power that will break the spell
We should know very well
Is locked within ourselves

Yet we'd rather blame,
And curse our faith and change
We run from everyone to hide from the pain
And all the shame

The story long we knew it well
About a wretched evil spell
A power that will break this curse
Oh I know all too well
Is locked within myself"

Artist Kurt Bestor
Title The Melody Within Biography

Album Rigoletto Music Soundtrack Review
Track # n/a
Year 1993
Genre Soundtrack

Music boxes have within,
melodies they carry with them,
once they open music fills the air.

Every person you have known,
has a song of their own,
once they open up you'll hear whats there.

It's not easy you must listen
with your heart for what lies hidden.

There was a melody, locked deep inside of me but now its free,
it found a place embraced by harmony, sweet harmony,

Love more than anything,
Teaches our hearts to sing,
Only love, could break the spell,
now I know, very well,
the love within myself.

There was a melody, locked deep inside of me but now its free,
it found a place embraced by harmony, sweet harmony,

Love more than anything,
Teaches our hearts to sing,
Only love, could break the spell,
now I know, very well,
the love within myself.

Oh thank you so much!! That brought all my memory of the tune back, too. I didn't know before you posted the lyrics that Kurt Bestor was the artist. I have seen him in concert so that was a cool thing to find out.

reply

I like the song just before at the contest. You hear just the ending.

reply

Me too, I didn't think anybody would notice that sweat song.

reply

I have the music to the Curse, Let me In , and melody Within. I love playing the Curse it is such beautiful music!!!

reply

The Melody Within

I liked it when they sing it as a duet.

Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously, and change the subject.

There's too many good songs to choose just one! Although I'm quite fond of "Dear April Child".

reply

The song, "The Curse" it made me cry when I heard first heard it and tears still come to my eye whenever I watch this movie and Ribaldi sings this song. It sounded so beautiful.

It Stays The Same

reply

Oooh, "Dear april child" always makes me smile stupidly at the screen, (and hope my brother doesn't walk in) expecially when Ribaldi picks up the little girl and the music goes, "-Treasure these precious days-"

He has SUCH a beautiful voice. I would rather listen to him than the phantom.

I know, SACRELIGE!

But my favourite song has got to be "The curse" Who doesn't have that stuck in their head atleast once a week? You hear it once, you remember it forever.
AND, I couldn't find any sheet music for it, so I wrote my own. Excellent, excellent way to kill an afternoon.

I'm still working on the music box song.

(And yes, I am rather hoping that nobody I know finds me here)

-- Does anybody know the song that was played when they pan into the outdoor funeral?
-- I remember that movie moment when I was sick at home and watching this on VHS & that part struck a teary-eyed moment for me.
-- I love this movie so much.

I would love to know the name of the song that the girl before Bonnie was singing. I know the first line goes...

"In the mountain still where my love sleeps..."

That's all I know. LOL! What is the name of that song?
