Jasmines Voice
was jasmines voice really played by the same woman in the origional? it doesnt sound like it at all!

The directors of the first movie wanted Linda Larkin to play Jasmine, but Jeffery Katzenberg thought her voice was too high, so she lowered her voice a bit for the part. There are some parts in RoJ where she goes back to her normal voice, and it sounds a bit different. (Especially in her first scene, where Aladdin gives her the jeweled flower...)

Very interesting. It is likely that they changed the pitch of her voice to match the diferent singers "Lea Salonga" in Aladdin, and "Liz Callaway" in this.
