I know Disney are becoming increasingly famous for making inferior sequels to great classics just to cash in, but The Return of Jafar was good! It had catchy songs, funny dialogue, and the genie was back! Sure it wasn't Robin Williams, but we did get Homer Simpson himself, who still did a pretty good job! Plus, we actually had a decent story! It's better than "101 Dalmatians 2", "Cinderella 2" and "The Little Mermaid 2". Oh the humanity!

lion king 1 1/2 was good also, but the new songs, the good story and the funny genie (again) make this movie the best Disney sequel for a movie he has not been produced by the same team as the original one, good job Disney!
and buy the special 2 DVD aladdin 2 and 3

share"Rescuers Down Under" looked better than "Return of Jafar". Heck the Aladdin animated series had way better animation than "Return of Jafar". And honestly whats so good about the story of "Return of Jafar"? Yeah Jafar comes back big whoop. "The King of Thieves" had a way better story and deserves the honor of being the best sequel for Aladdin.
shareShows what you really know. Return Of Jafar was kinda like the first episode of the animated series, but a movie. It was basically 3 episodes put together as a movie which is why it is so short. It had the same production value as the series.

The best Disney sequel was The King of Thieves, but like some people here I did enjoy Rescuers Down Under. Niether are better than the originals though. Also, there are some message board comments when it looks as though I hate Return of Jafar. I don't. I was disappointed by the animation and some of the voice work, but compared to Cinderella 2 and Patch's London Adventure (both quite bad) it isn't actually that bad, just disappointing compared to what it could have been as it showed such good promise.

Yeah, both Aladdin sequels and both Lion King sequels are pretty damn good.
