Does the book justice

I watched ROTD about 3 or 4 days, and it has left a lasting impression. I read the book about 2 weeks previous and i must say, this is one of the only films where the film does justice to the book... a couple of others i can think of:

Psycho(The book is weak imho)
Fight Club(Book is different- good, but different... film is great)
Clockwork Orange(Book spectacular, film equally so)

Can you think of any other books, which are done justice by their celluloid equivalent... :) ?

My standard answer to films that are as good as or better than the novels they are based on are The Godfather and Silence of the Lambs. The fact that both novels are rather pulpy probably helps the films transcend them. I have never read Jaws but the consensus seems to be the same, slightly trashy book translated into a great movie.
