Raining praise
Almost all the posts on this board seem to be about people who know someone in the film or want to criticize others for misunderstanding the accents, but I would like to rain some praise on this excellently acted, grittily directed slice of life.
Bruce Jones and the rest of the cast are superb here, and Ken Loach directed this film as if it were a documentary. In many ways, it is. This film has a lot to say about working-class struggles and the important of values and faith. 9 stars out of 10.
Now you can get back to your petty name-dropping and quibbling over the daftness of Americans.
