Would ESU's goal be to make the playoffs if this movie were more modern?

College football now has a playoff at the major level. I know that ESU had a pretty subpar season in the movie which was made way back in the early 1990's, a time when there was no four team playoff in the FBS. But, if this movie were made in 2014, or later, would making the four team playoff be a goal for ESU, or would they be the type of program that would be happy just making some crappy bowl every year?
