Props to the Van Peebles! This film still holds up well in 2014

A very special film in my opinion due to the western setting, it holds up well after 20 years. A rare movie concept coupled with an all star cast makes this one of my favorite films. Always had an affinity for black militants, and this movie touched on so many issues, religion, rebellion, community solidarity, inner conflicts ect..plus it had action, drama, & comedy. A black themed movie so the IMDB rating will obviously not do the film justice, this is an 8 to 10 for me and it inspired me to ready about black cowboys of the past.
