They COULD Make an AWESOME Remake of LFN...

...if they had made it a real sci-fi movie. Dark, bleak, ugly, rainy, semi-Blade Runner-ish in terms of weather, etc., would all fit the world of La Femme Nikita, and make it an extremely awesome remake. I thought this film, though enjoyable, was too bright and shiny and pretty to be a the gritty crime story that the original was, and hte story was about. THough she kills violently and even cheaply sometimes, she never faces her own morality of killing like the original did. In the original, she seemed to just want to live out of hte situation, desperately diving through the restuarant. In this, she's emotionless and too good of an assassin. If they had a remake, it'd be fun to see how you could transfer the story to a new setting. Filthy hotels, rainy, dreary weather, etc. would all be fun atmospheres to work, with and if they had stuck a bit more to the orignal character.
