A quality indicator?

I wonder if there are other movies with as few or fewer comments on the IMDB message forums?

I now find that measure to be a pretty good indicator of the quality of the movie.

I turned off the "movie" when the F-117 pilot turned on a switch labelled "Stealth Mode On"

Just how stupid are the people who pay for these terrible movies?

Actually, yes, there are a LOT of movies on imdb that have zero message board activity. I have free reign of one myself- it's my personal domain (ha ha) but this movie isn't exactly popular, so I'm sort of surprised that there is any activity at all.

I'm assuming the most recent of us posters on here saw this movie on Cinemax lately. Just watched it this morning, and it's one of those movies that I kept waiting for it to get good.

Watched "shawn of the dead" after that, and that movie was a hoot!

Wouldn't one need that switch to stop your radar from transmitting and thereby reveal your location? Also to turn off any external lighting? You'd probably want to disable any voice activated audio transmitter as well. Jet engines also have differing modes to operate in to reduce thermal signature or to reduce fuel consumption. Also on some stealth planes they can configure certain control surfaces to reduce radar return, and extend panels to block thermal emission, although I dont know if the F117 employs any of those technologies, either way, it doesn't seem that implausable to me to have one button that deactivates the radar/transmitters/lights. Having said all that, I've never flown an F117 so I can't say that it actually has such an all-in-one switch, but as a viewer I don't expect the film industry to get such things perfect.

Hmmm, I know it's been a while since this conversation was going on, but I just wanted to say that I was impressed with your reasons for defending the "Stealth Mode On" switch, daniel-l-kelly.

I haven't seen this movie yet (I am watching the first Philadelphia Experiment, got curious as to any sequel). Anyway, pretty good argument.

I would have thought the $2760 gross that the movie made would have been a pretty good indicator...
