....and yet another film ended like 'Three Colours Blue.'

Did anyone else notice the striking resemblance of this film's final scene and frame to the last framing of Juliette Binoche in Kieslowski's 'Three Colours Blue' An enlightened, transcendent and heart rendering look into the camera; part stoic, part humble, yet subtley confident enough to reveal an inner glimmer of hope for the future, not knowing enough for the nudging wink but, suitably we have emerged, her world-weary smile. 'Magnolia' was so very similar, with that actress who dates the cop, I forget her name, as she looks straight into the camera, emerging with renewed confidence and positivity to reveal another very subtle smile underpinning her hope for the future........

And yet still, the final musical montage in 'Donnie Darko' with the interconnecting characters and story lines staged and delivered like a 'merry go round' of 'emotion, feeling, transcendence and deliverance' for all but concerned.....

It seems to me that the final orchestral symphony in 'Three Colours Blue' has deeply influenced these three films; 'Orlando', 'Magnolia' and 'Donnie Darko'

I would not be surprised if there are more....

Interesting theory and very possibly true for Donnie Darko and Magnolia but Orlando was released in 1992 which was the year before Three Colours Blue.
