This Is The BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!

Everything about this movie is awesome! I honestly do not know one person who has seen this movie and did not enjoy it for what it is. Oscar worthy it ain't, but it is wonderfully cast, the choreography is second to none, The music is amazing, and the early 90's wardrobe makes any kid of the era proud. I watch this movie at least once a week, and have for the last 8 years. Everytime i watch it i am blown away!

"Remember it all starts out with the jinga."

I agree. I seen this when it first came out and thought the world of this film. I bought this film here recently, and it definitely didn't have the same effect as it did when I was a child. The plot is really bad, the acting is even worse. The movie is still watchable, but It didn't bring back the nostalgia like some other films of it's time.

I agree with you completely. I haven't seen a better movie and I have seen a lot.

I really liked it, Silverio used to scare the *beep* outta me, because he was so mean, but i bet he's a really nice guy in realy life...and I totally fell in love with Ryan Bollman (donovan) and Richard Coca (Orlando) but yeah I really liked this movie. And the music is so awesome, get's you up and jumping aorund doesn't it!!!

this is the only feature film i've ever seen that was exclusively about Capoeira. there should be more movies like this made which focus on the art

hands down this might be up there next to Citizen *beep* Kane

You have been watching this crappy movie at least ONCE a week for the last EIGHT years? OMFG!!! You need a straightjacket dude!!! 2 stars, only because of Dacascos.

This movie is the 1990s for me.

This is a long way from the best movie ever made. As others pointed out, the plot is obvious and the acting is sometimes shaky, although the action sequences are pretty good. If you like Mark Dacascos (and you should), it's enjoyable enough, but it's not a great movie. It's too obviously a showcase for capoeira, and I could never get past that to buy into the story.

The surprise for me was Richard Coca. At first he seemed like just a punk, but he took the character a long way.

5/10 for me. Too many cliches and too much forcing of the characters and story for it to be higher.

I would not go that far but this is one of the best movies I have ever seen
