When I was about 12, I managed to convince kids at school...

...that I knew capoeira. They used to show this movie on HBO a lot back in the day, and when I realized that most kids I knew at school didn't have HBO I figured I could get away with it. For a couple of days I was a legend; I would show kids capoeira moves (that I copied as best as I could from the movie) and I taught them to chant "banana way" (I realize now that those aren't the actual words, but I didn't know any better then). A bunch of kids asked me to teach them. Then, alas, one of the kids who saw me "teaching" the other kids capoeira at recess had seen the movie, and told everybody that I was just copying things from the movie. It was really humiliating at the time, but I knew I had no one to blame but myself. Come to think of it, there were a lot of kids at school who claimed to be "masters" at various martial arts. If you took them at their word, you would have to believe that a small elementary school in the Midwest was home to a trained Ninja, a Muay Thai kickboxer who was training for the Kumite, and a Junior Golden Gloves champion. LOL. Kids.

Most of my friends had HBO so we all knew about this movies awesomeness. I remember this time coming up a lot as kids. It was my favorite movie. I thought not too many people knew it but a few of my friends would be like oh yea that movies dope *beep*

You lost in me the 2nd sentence because I noticed that it was one long paragraph -- very bad style, for whatever your premise.

Because of that literary error, I assumed that that you had no substance & that there would be many grammatical errors. If you broke up your points, I might have read.
