So, wow?

I'll admit that my sister bought me this movie last year (on VHS). I took it out, watched it, and I'm sorry, I was SERIOUSLY shocked.

But I fell asleep not even a half an hour into the thing. So, I don't think I got to see Michael Crawford's song. Or maybe I did, and I just don't want to remember it.

I think I was also put off (which made me fall asleep) by the fact on how "stay green" friendly this film was, and showing the dangers of chemicals and all that.

So... should I try again at watching it?

(PS: Didn't one of them get hit by a car? I swear I remember a car scene.)

.....dude most of the little critters died in this movie because of poisoned gas, that should keep you pretty interested if you were a kid when you saw this movie.

team DDWZJMSRJMU - GET THE "F" Out Taking this off when TNA finally gets a 3.5 rating Since 9/20/07

It was pretty surprising that they showed the two parents lying dead in the house. XD

The "stay green" thing kinda gets to me too, but I loved this movie as a kid for the adventure and friendship aspect of it, so I would give it another try.

maybe you should watch this when you're about 4 or 5 years old.
Because it's pretty retarded when you're 20, I only like it cause of my nostalgia goggles

I don't understand the argument against so many of these kinds of movies with an underlying environmental message. Once Upon A Forest, Ferngully...all the way to 2009's Avatar. Yes, there's an underlying "go green" pro-environmental message, but why does that take away from the story for so many people? Is it that they are so jaded by modern society that somewhere within their psyche they think it is okay that animals, forests, flowers, and natural places get poisoned so often?

The appearance of law must be upheld, especially when it's being broken.

don't worry about those morons. i just watched this again and their claims are ridiculous about it being "too green"

I know I'm like a year after the latest post, but I found this gem from my childhood (I'm 24) on DVD at Wal-Mart, and purchased it. Upon re-watching, I love it just as much as I did as a child, and I am the furthest thing possible from an environmentalist (I *gasp* litter, and smoke -adding to the hole in the ozone?-, don't buy organic, etc.), and did not find the movie too 'green' at all. Like another poster said, I LOVE the adventure aspect of the whole thing. It's a very cute, and very moving (omg, Cornelius and his granddaughter :() film.

Thank you for your kind words for this oft-forgotten little gem!
