Please wake up vs Music of the Night

I couldn't help comparing these two songs both sung by Michael Crawford because of how the character Michael sings to doesn't duet and is most of the time asleep. Then both end with a long sustained note. Only difference is that one is about seduction and the other is a comforting plea for the young one to live.
