Home Alone

Wee Mac should have stayed at home rather than make us cringe with embarrassment at his antics. I think Hannah Montana's on-screen brother would have been better !

Luckily, my great memories of twice seeing The Nutcracker on-stage, performed in London and Edinburgh, still gives me goosepimples when I hear that opening music and watch the ballet unfold !

I might seem strange - I'm a guy who would surprise people if they knew my love of ballet - I don't seem the type ! I am an old hard-rock fan who's been through many a loud, aggressive rock concert ! (and I love '60's R&B and soul etc too) - I hate opera without exception and I could never sit through an orchestral or classical music recital (unless guitar) !

Yet I love ballet and have seen various productions, including those of Ballet Rambert ! The Nutcracker never fails to make me feel all gooey and dewy-eyed and Christmassy and think of my dear old departed mum !

Do you reckon I'm a crazy, mixed up old git ?
