This movie has a soundtrack album-

--and it is available at Amazon. Why is it taking IMDB so long to link up to it?

reply

In fact, this movie has had a soundtrack for about 115 years. It's called "The Nutcracker," by Tchaikovsky. You might have heard of it.

reply

Hahahaha I'm assuming the original poster was being sarcastic.

reply

The second poster was being sarcastic. I wasn't. Let me phrase it better, so that he understands - there is an album of the ballet taken directly from the soundtrack of this movie.

And I think Amazon has linked up to it now.

reply

I hope you do't mean like an original score album.

But do you mean that the soundtrack is the same orchestra performing it, that's understandable. But we all already know we can get a CD of the Nutcracker Suite anywhere. So we didn't need to look up a soundtrack listing, cause we already know what it is and what not.

Pirate: I fancy them shiny shoes for my booty!
Peter: Well, I think you can get them at Armani.

reply

the original isn't the same as this one.

there are differences.

reply

This soundtrack actually includes Kevin Kline's narration of the entire story.

reply

Ug! I thought the narration was a horrible idea. It really took me out of the theatre experience. I think the Culkins were right to try to have it pulled but I guess they finally gave up. Too bad:(

reply

Heaven forfend that we should be allowed to understand what is going on in a ballet! I'm not sure that narrative is right, or subtitles. Clearly something is required: perhaps the printed programme should be sufficient, though dimmable electric lights make it hard to read.
