I just bought this DVD for $2 as a double/feature with some Barbara Hershey movie.
I thought it was ok for an early 90s TV movie although quite slow and far-fetched. The ending was a bit of poop and the jazz bar scenes were a bit tedious.
Although I did love the crazy old lecturer lady and her views on supernatural rubbish.

Your right about Scunthorpe it was all I could think of at the time!
In any case they still probably have that much hope though.
