Dexter

Did anyone notice a piece of music in this film that was the theme tune to the TV Series Dexter?
I looked into it and Daniel Licht composed both. Looks like he recycled it for Dexter.

reply

Yes, I noticed it too. It was in the second part when Emily showed up.

reply

Ha! Noticed it too. Thought it was way too similar to be coincidal.

I just watched this movie for the first time, and thought the beginning of "The Cold" sounded a lot like the End Credits of Dexter. Google directed me here! Good job, fellow nerds!

reply

Google directed you here? Fine work! Nerds unite!

reply

Yeah! I notice it too! This movie is not so popular, so i guess Daniel Licht recycled the piece for Dexter...

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

reply

Wow, so many people did this before. I'm just watching "Necronomicon" and needed to check if Daniel Licht composed the score.

reply

So I didn't imagine it.

reply

This is much more common than most people think. As long as the studio owns the music, it can be reused whenever they want.

I do like this theme, though. It's creepier in the movie than in Dexter, lol.

reply

YES!!! I just came on here on the boards for the very reason to ask that same question! Saw it just last night and I was freaking out because of the similarity.

So funny!
