Loaded with a Vengeance

I think they should make a sequel to this. But instead of focusing on Lethal Weapon movies, focus on the Die Hard movies. Colt and Luger have to go around solving puzzles to stop bombs (ala Die Hard 3), then they find the bad guy's hideout which is a building he has taken hostage (ala Die Hard 1) where we find out that Jon Lovitz's character is the Simon/Hans Gruber character and he wants revenge for getting killed so many times in the first movie and then he escapes and tries to get away at an airport (ala Die Hard 2). Plus, if they make this movie, they can rerelease Loaded Weapon 1 on Special Edition DVD with all those deleted scenes.

Oh - what a dream this would be. Of course, as Brucey made a cameo in the original Loaded Weapon movie as John McClane, he would obviously have to return in the sequel though !! He could pop out of a lift shaft with a one liner such as "how can the same sh*t happen to the same guy... in different movies ?"
I could imagine the intial puzzle could be set in a pre-school classroom, with something like "1+2=?" on the board - and Colt and Luger arguing over the answer. I was trying to think of cameo roles too - how about Jerry Springer as the "Dick Thornburg" reporter character ??

On a similar subject, have you seen the Ben Stiller trailer for Die Hard 12 ?? There's got to be some inspiration from that !

Sam Jackson should spoof his own character in Die Hard 3. Luger would met Colt again like John McClane and Zeus meet in DH3.

I was thinking about the part in Die Hard 3 where they have the bomb in a suitcase (I think) in the park. And they have to do the water jug thing. Well, after they get it done and de-activate the bomb, Colt starts to walk off. And Luger says, "You can't just leave that here in the park. Kids could get ahold of it." Colt says, "You're right." He takes the bomb out of the suitcase, sets it down, and gets the suitcase. "It is a nice suitcase." And they walk off together. And in the background, a whole bunch of kids rush towards the bomb. Later, when the guy finds out that the bomb in the school is a fake, a couple of kids come in and say, "Hey, look what we found in the park." And hold up the bomb. School goes BOOM.

the water jug scene should take place in hooters.
and i think there should be a karl type character from the orginal die hard as the main villains henchman.
and he comes back from the dead a number of times only to be killed again and again.

haha.

Man, you guys are SO right. A Die Hard based sequel to Loaded Weapon would be amazing. I guarantee it would be better than Snakes On A Plane (even though that might be okay.) So much material to work with by now. The SamJackson/Zeus/Luger element presents enless opportunities.

But only if Gene Quintano is directing. I hate it that he didn't get mad props after this movie. People are still talking trash about Loaded Weapon on IMDB. I tell ya, it's a sad world we live in.
