Is This Out In The USA

i live in the US and David Thewlis is my fav actor, i was wondering (at sense on the look up it said Naked was only out in UK) if it is out even just on video in the US?

reply

It's coming on HBO at 4 A.M. on June 7th.

reply

Yeah I watched yesterday good movie

reply

how about SCARY as hell!!! Maybe it was just the fact that i woke up at 4 am to the sound of a woman screaming and then seeing a man raping her in a VERY scary position..hmm..I dunno. I watched a little more of it and thought it was funny when one of the dudes told a girl "i hope i didn't give you aids." Kind of sadistic, i know.

do you know where I cna puchase this movie in vhs or dvd?
thanx in advance for getting back to me

I am very happy to tell you, if you haven't heard already, that it's coming out in September '05 and Criterion is releasing it.

Rubbing alcohol Martha? Sure, never mix never worry.

reply

so you mean this IS going to come out in the USA? meaning it'll also be here in canada, because this seems like a really intresting movie. I heard thewlis got a lot of awards for it, including cannes

Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed - Achilles

reply

Yes it will be released in the US and will be available in Canada. Like most Criterion releases in Canada it will cost you an arm and a leg, but it should be worth it.

I got the dvd from america on the critterion collection, it was about £17.00 with postage from america, i got it from Barnes & Noble on the internet, it has quite a few extras in it, and a commentary from the director and Katrin Cartlidge.

There is a Criterion release of this film scheduled for September 20, 2005. The DVD will retail for $39.95 and will include the following special features...

- New, restored high-definition digital transfer

- Audio commentary by director Mike Leigh and actors David Thewlis and Katrin Cartlidge

- Exclusive new video introduction by filmmaker Neil LaBute

- The Conversation, a BBC program with author Will Self interviewing Leigh

- Original theatrical trailer

- New essay by film critic Derek Malcolm

- Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing

Overall, looks to be a pretty promising release, as is usually the case with Criterion, although it does cost an arm and a leg.

Greetings. Is this an old commentary, maybe from the Video Disk (remember those?) as Katlin Cartlidge has been dead, well, for some time.
