I'm disappointed that they didn't stick the short film The Short and Curlies on the extras of the new release DVD. I hear that it's on the Criterion release. Has anyone seen it, or knows where it is available?

You can find the Criterion edition on Amazon and eBay and yes, it has "The Short and Curlies" short film in the extras. :-)
