Help!

Back in the early 90's I rented a movie about Charles Starkweather. I don't think it had any "big" stars in it. The movie was very graphic and disturbing. It had a really gritty feel to it. I cannot remember the name of this movie to save my life! I think it was made in the 70's or 80's. It was the first time I had ever heard the story of Charles and Caril Ann. I have looked all over the internet and it's like this movie never existed! Has anyone else seen this movie?

The only ones in this list I've seen is "Heartland". It's a pretty truthful interpretation of the facts. The one titled "Starkweather" is mostly glorified BS.

I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and was alive (5 years old) when he was electrocuted. The first person he killed was the husband of my aunt's cousin. I have a good friend who lived in the house across the street from the Ward's house, albeit 35 years after their murder.

The time line was over a few months. Lincoln was in a state of panic. People were arming themselves and no one knew what was going on. The entire Starkweather story is not one most people in Nebraska want to re-live. The name still brings a chill to many.

Charlie Starkweather was not a "rebel", he was just a psycho.

Wow! I've been to Lincoln twice now and love the city. I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like living there when it happened. I have a bunch of Lincoln Star's & Lincoln Evening Journal's from late January 1958 so I have a small idea. It seems so unreal but seeing all the gravesites, and reading first hand accounts from someone related to Robert Colvert, it's mind blowing how real it all was. To me, I don't know if Charlie was psycho, he did seem to have some issues, but I find that he was just so incredibly stupid.
