It was supposed to be "Much Ado About Nothing" [spoilers]

The "nothing" referred to is the sight of "Hero" just talking to a man outside her room at the wee hours of the morning. It was the hour that was supposed to be damning. Beatrice even refers to it as merely talking. But Brannagh's one place where he puts his foot wrong is in having the "nothing" be what anyone would see as "something."

I don't see why it would have been particularly confusing for modern audiences to have it be as Shakespeare wrote it originally.

My only gripe.

When evil is viewed as good, righteousness is viewed as evil.
