Was she abused?
When Jude was in the hospital with her mother, her mother said something to her about her father. What was it? Did the father abuse Jude? Did she push him? Did the mom?
shareI just saw the movie and it appears that Jude had an incestuous affair with her father. Her mom knew and was going to leave and take Jude with her. The father kills himself, which is why Jude blames her mother for her father's suicide.
shareDid the mother really say all that? I got the impression that the father had abused Jude (which is why Jude thinks its OK to do the same to her son). But I wondered why the father jumped, or did he? I can't help but wonder if the mother or Jude had pushed the father. Of course, I don't know how they got him out the window?? Anyway, at the end, when Kes sees his mother fall to her death, I can't help but think that this is what Jude saw when her father fell.
