Since the real AJ was a black man, why did they show a white man as AJ? If the balcks would not like it, too damn bad! Why can't they make a Rodney King movie and show 4 black cops beating him then? What would be the difference? Political correctness has gotten ridiculous.
you sound young. They did not change the races for political correctness. see my previous post there are actually several stories where the races are changed. not only with blacks but also hispanics. I can name 5 right now where they have done that. That is pretty typical with the media. They feel that only white stories would appeal to the masses. So they changed the races a lot of times to white or at least they did back then. Here lately they have started to stay true to the story for example the movie that will be showing on lifetime "little girl lost" They are hispanics and they are portrayed as such. Typically there have been no real interests in news stories or movies featuring people of color and this includes black hispanic asian etc.
Wrong. When a true life event involves a white person doing something bad to a black (or other non-white) person, I have never seen the victim changed to a white person. But just about any time a true event involved a black (or other non-white) doing something to a white person, they race of the criminal suddenly changed for the movie. It is for political correctness.
In Empty Cradle: A movie about a psycho nurse stealing a woman's baby and a year later she killed another woman and stole her baby. In real life the woman who had her baby stolen and the woman who was killed were both black and the lady who did it was hispanic but in the film it was all white actresses playing the parts.
