Looks like there were two straight to video type movies released in 1990 called Metamorphosis

There's this one, Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor, and then there's just plain Metamorphosis.

Make sure you don't get them confused. This one's clearly better, IMO. It delivers on some gory mayhem and there's even some bitchin' stop motion effects.
