In yet another instance where I didn't like the Oscar choice, Tommy Lee Jones won Best Supporting Actor over Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List and John Malkovich for In The Line of Fire. Also,
Sean Penn was great in Carlito's Way. My favorite performance from him along with Fast Times, which shows that he can at least play someone with a sense of humor, even if he lacks one in real life.
