TECHNICALLY ISN'T THE HUSBAND ENTITLED

to 50% anyway or are laws for community property different for personal injury funds

I'm NOT a lawyer, but I don't think so.

It's Massachusetts, not California, though I'm not saying CA is the only state with community property laws.

The reason I think so is that Tracy is TICKED when Andy declares that he wants half the money.

"I earned this money. This money is MINE. He's not getting a nickel. They write the check to ME."

She would have thought this whole thing through; I don't think she ever considered him taking any $$$.

Granted Andy may have had a right to the money - for all anyone knew, it was his baby too.

BUT - Andy was so miserable at losing Tracy that I don't think he cared about the $$$ at all until he found out what Tracy was up to.

Also, he might have had to name himself as a co-plaintiff with Tracy in the lawsuit in order to qualify for $$$.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help as I'd be interested in knowing this myself!
