The love scene...

What did people think about it. Any opinions? I thought it would have been better if they'd have payed less attention to comedy and more attention to romance. I liked it, but why did have to be a farce?

Yes, a comedy, but a farce? What do you mean?

By this I mean we get comedy practically all the way through the movie to just over half way, where we get tragedy. I think that the mood could have been brought to scale a lot better if that scene had been more romantic than comedic. Not that I'm complaining, but the fact that the love scene is so funny makes what follows seem really random at first.

I loved he chemistry between Danson and Goldberg.. they were great.

Whoopi -" You're gorgeous when your wet!"

Whoopi -"Aren't you going to smell me goodbye?"

Ted - "May I?"
Whoopi - "May you what?"
Ted - "Smell you"

Whoopi - "She just said silly move white man"

Hal: ...well my sperm has been in your body.
Sarah: And where it goes you figure you should follow.
Hal: Well, generally I like to go first but in this case the little fellows got there before me.

I love that one! lol

I had difficulty buying Danson and Goldberg as a romantic couple period so that should explain how I felt about the so-called love scene. It still blows my mind that they became involved IRL after making this movie.

Yeah, I know. It just doesn't seem like they would be attracted to each other at all! So, in their case, I'm almost positive that it was a situation of falling in love personality-wise rather than physically. I think if they did do of the romantic stuff, it would only be as a consequence of personality -- not because they were really physically attracted to each other.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
