Anyone know what star actress Vanessa King is doing now??

She's no longer in the public eye, that's for sure.

I know far less than I'd like to, but plenty more than I deserve. ;-) She's terrific, and her performances have helped me work through some issues — both in a very serious sense on one hand and in a comedic/morale-booster way on the other. I'd do anything to return the favor, but that's beyond my control.

I'm glad you enjoy this movie. Let me know if I can recommend anything else from her. Her characters are always displaying pearls of wisdom, whether they are righteous or alternatively demonstrating the wrong way of going about things. One cannot just write a character to be like this... and just have it be done. It might come across fine, but it's a toss up.

It's simply her. Hope? Charisma? Beauty? Innocence? ... Magical Aura? I don't know. I can't place it, but Vanessa King has, to quote James Mason's character in A Star is Born, "that little something... extra."

A lot of child actors/actresses, especially from TV films, can disappear from the media entirely as adults. Some of them just want different careers, some of them are busy raising a family, and some just don't like the attention. A lot of them don't like social media (I don't blame them), so it's unlikely you'll find her online, though LinkedIn might have a profile for her. She's probably still in British Columbia.
