Was it my imagination?

Were they trying to sell this as a TV series? The voice over at the end seemed to intimate there was more to come.

Yeah, it seemed like it was unfinished. It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, which was never resolved.

Nosey little bastard, ain't ya?

I remember when this aired on upn, ages and ages ago, and I actually remember that somewhere, either in the listings or a televised advert it was marketed as a pilot. Much in the same way that Journey to the Center of the Earth movie, the one with the magic ring and the drilling machine.

In fact, it might have been a weekend of pilots or something, because they had the both of them on in the same weekend, among a few others as well.

Simply put, they ran out of money, so the ending was rushed.
