Weird bits

I love this movie but it has some odd details.

Brad Pitt’s… pit. He digs a massive pit by his trailer to dump his landlord’s corpse. Why dig an 8’ deep pit for one corpse? That thing was family-sized. Also, later the cops find the body - how? Did the copdogs smell 8’ under ground or did Pitt just not bother refilling his needlessly huge… pit?

Pissbag. What was that bag of oddly clear urine the gas station victim was using while Brad turned his neck into a pin-cushion? Is it something truckers use to avoid piss-stopping en route?

Brian’s internal GPS. How the hell does Brian know where to find Early and Carrie? Sure, Peaches gives him the vague direction but they had at least an hour’s head start 🤷🏻‍♂️

Brian’s crash. Why does he immediately lose control, fly through the air and crash on arrival? Is this just a crude plot device so that he can launch his attack in the morning - when he can use the ‘doors’ trick on Early?

Nuclear wasteland imagery. Why does Pitt strap that miniature nuclear bomb model to the bonnet? That looks like it must have taken an hour. What’s it for?? Then they end up in a nuclear testing house. What’s Dominic Sena going for with all this heavy imagery?
