Kalifornia vs. Natural born killers?
JL sure does play white trash well. The first film i ever saw her in was THAT NIGHT, and she was so not PWT, so these roles shocked me.
Some people call it a Cul-de-sac. I call it a Dead End

Kalifornia for me
I loved her in Enough - shows she's an actual actress. Looking forward to her new show. Hubby hates her so will have to watch while he's at work
Kalifornia by a mile! In many ways the perfect B movie- lean, spare and utterly gripping. NBK, by contrast, was an overblown pretentious mess.
As for Juliette Lewis' performances specifically: heartbreaking in Kalifornia. Totally believable, and effectively showing how someone so vulnerable and childlike would be an easy target for the likes of Early Grace. Irritating in NBK, and overacted to boot
Kal is my choice
shareGranted, I've only seen NBK once, but I didn't really care for its filming style or its two main characters.
Maybe that bloody dagger will lead us to the murder weapon.share
the fagos who like california won't care for nbk
shareNo comparison, really. Kalifornia is just another average thriller. NBK is a work of art.
shareTwenty years down the road, Kalifornia holds up as the much better film. NBK seems vastly overrated, which is sort of the norm for Oliver Stone films.
Juliette Lewis' perfromance is far better and a young, unknown Brad Pitt was far better than Woody Harrelson.
