For some reason, male actors tend to think that women speak in a voice that sounds identical to a whispering male voice. Paul Walker in Joy Ride, as another example.

Corey Haim is good, but he didn't pull off this character. The complete inability to pass as a female was a huge distraction in the movie. All I could think was "How could he expect this to work? And how coem it DOES work?" It made the movie not make sense.

I thought Corey Haim(RIP) did a great job posing as a girl in the movie. He did all the female mannerisms without going overboard like most actors do. I happen to love "Just One of the Girls" much better than Lady Bugs, which I liked too!

Rest Peacefully Sweet Corey

It's a movie. Movies are make believe (for the most part) meaning you leave your brain at the door and simply watch and enjoy it. In fact I enjoyed the interaction between his character as a girl and the bully Kurt. And of course the nice locker room scene. Every adolescent males dream.

He did a good job acting as a girl. It's a shame he's no longer with us.

Well, he was just as believable as Dustin in 'Tootsie'. It's theater. Pretend. Fiction. Go with the flow. Besides, used to be ALL characters were played by men. Also, I've seen some pretty masculine women. Before you hit 20, you have a much better chance at passing. But the voice is pretty much the initial give away, then the hands, and feet.

I mean if he had a really feminine voice I think he could pass not all girls are rail thin and have demure features some awkward are frumpy like him. This girl for example was able to easily make her transition into a boy because she already looked very much like a dude http://picbazi.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Arin-Andrews.png
