Wow, we're old, lol. I was so little when the movie came out.

I was in my partying years when this came out.

Yeah and I read the book before it came out. I saw the movie in the theatre and remember the merchandise in stores. I remember a segment in entertainment tonight asking kids how many times they’d seen it and one said five times. I was like “wtf! How rich are you?”

Still better CGI than move movies have now. Not sure why the technology hasn't advanced more.

I think you might be seeing it as better because many of the Dinosaurs were really animatronics. The sick Triceratops, some scenes of the T-Rex and even the Raptors were animatronics or costumes.
