What scene scared you the most?

Jurassic park is one of my favorite films this film
Did also scare me as a kid

I just would like to know what scene scared you the most ? Me it is a tie between the T-Rex breakout and Raptors in the kitchen

reply

While coming home from the theater I would always look around and imagine the T rex and raptor leaping out.

i woOd say the when the hellacopter arrIVEs and it loooks like itll crash, N Grant cannnot get his seet belt On!!!!111

reply

When the dilophosaurus snuck its way into the jeep and opened up its neck thing and ate Newman. My friend and I both had to cover our eyes at that part (being 9 and seeing it in the theater).

reply

Yeah that was very scary it still shocking how that dinosaur got into the car I remember my older brother playing a joke on me since I have the game on Super Nintendo I left the room when the scene come on he use the clip as a "game over"

reply

The kitchen scene always used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. Also the 'clever girl' scene.

- Play with monkeys, put bananas in hidden places -

reply

The raptors were the right villains for the film because they just gave the perfect feeling of fear and terror the kitchen scene just gave us the horror and fear of being left alone with two dangerous predators who kills for fun the music got my heart racing as the kids try to stay ahead of the raptors

reply

Yeah, the raptors in the kitchen scene had me clutching my pearls in the theater. Very scary, suspenseful scene.

And the kitchen was the perfect setting, ordinary yet magical with all those semi-reflective surfaces, and bursting with possibilities for mayhem. Also deeply ironic, imagine being in a kitchen and realizing you're the food!

reply

The raptors in the kitchen scene was intense as a 6-year old kid :)

''They are shaping me into something gaudy. Something lethal.''

reply

I was seven with Jurassic park was release it goes to show how scary the film was then and even today it's still scary

reply

When the raptors first enter the kitchen (having just learned to open doors!). It's the way they snarl at each other that did it for me.

If we wanted to insult you, we would have called you "Tubby Mushroomhead Man".

reply

The way they open the door it was almost like they were playing with the kids like it was a horror game and the score just told the story of the scene as the kids try to escape from the raptors that scene just got my skin clawing even today I get tense by it

reply

Agreed, it was a very well put together scene.

I always remember the Dilo as well. I first saw this when it was out in cinemas in '93. I was seven years old. Seeing those frills burst open with that ear piercing shriek for the first time on a giant loud screen near made me fill my undies!

If we wanted to insult you, we would have called you "Tubby Mushroomhead Man".

A perfect example of expect the unexpected that scene was set up very well just what look like a innocent little dinosaur only to reveal it's true nature as a hungry predator and to make matters even more scary was that fact it some how got into the jeep without no one seeing it

reply

I would have to say the scene with Muldoon hunting the raptors and Ellie having to run to the maintenance shed. It still gives me the chills...

reply

I agree with both scenes you mention I remember watching Ellie going to the maintenance shed that scene was set up like nothing could go wrong as hope that Ellie may help save the park by turning the power back on but as soon as the systems come on line we see the Raptor pop out of nowhere that was another example of expect the unexpected I remember I jumped when the Raptor came out of hiding. Plus how the build up for the hunting scene was just very smart and well acted too because you never knew where the raptors were and what was to come next

reply

definitely Muldoon being stalked by the raptors and equally-Dr Sattler in the maintenance building...the suspense was intense...

reply

Some of the ones already mentioned. The T-Rex trying to eat the kids through the broken windshield of the jeep. The Dilo eating Nedry. Also Mr. Arnold's arm being discovered by Ellie.

Green Goblin is great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1L4ZuaVvaw

reply

Speaking of which they kept saying the T-Rex wasn't suppose to break the glass and yet watching the scene you would think it was part of the script
