What if Spielberg went full stop-motion or full animatronic instead?

Usingcutting edge versions of the two. I wonder how that would of looked. I don't mean the clay stop motion. I mean a more textualized stop motion, that conveyed depth and weight and subtle extra details.

We already saw how that looked in the "Making Of" feature on the DVD. Not very good. The film wouldn't have been nearly as big a success with lower end special effects on the dinosaurs in place.

One thing is for sure, if they used stop go animation we probably would have seen a lot more on screen full sized dinos. I believe there are only around 15 mins of actualy dinos on screen in the film, 7 mins of which is cgi. I woild have thought atop go would be much cheaper and easier to produce than cgi at the time.
