I saw it again recently and I just began to wonder. We saw the ship fly off at the very end but we never actually saw them get home. I just wanted to know was this intended to be a pre-cursor to a TV series. but since it was so bad no network picked it up? Leaving it like that it certainly seems that way. It is almost a cliff-hanger. Was it planned to launch a TV series or a franchise of movies? Or was it intended as a stand alone movie where we just assume since they have got rid of the bad guy the get out all right?
