The kids driving really took a bit of realism out of the film


Nobody ever noticed two kids driving a car. While Josh driving is plausible, when Sam is behind the wheel which looks outlandish and took a bit away from the parts of the film that were good.

Actually Noah would have been about 8 years old at the time of filming so he was by no means alot older. I do agree with you that the both of them did a great job in spite of some of the flaws in the script.

Yeah, I agree! But Josh and Sam is still one of the best coming of age films I've ever seen!

They didn't drive the cars for long, and mostly on highways without much traffic. In 1993 not everyone had a cellular phone so if some people did notice, they couldn't just call about it. It works for the movie.
