this is my all time favorite theme song. i know it's been around for a while and i've heard other arrangements (that i really don't think compare). i've heard it's very popular in england and i think they're more exposed to it over there. in the states you have to watch the show to hear it. anyway, i like to get a copy of it to listen too. does anyone know it might be available?
shareThe theme tune is just called Maigret, composed by Nigel Hess who has written quite a few memorable theme tunes for British TV. There's probably a BBC TV theme tunes album floating around somewhere with the Maigret theme on it.

If you go to You tube on google videos and type in Maigret theme you will come up with many versions. Put in "theme of Maigret" "Nigel Hess" and I think you will come up with the version you want.
